Define Overall Location Constraints

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Development tab, click the Location constraints tab.
  2. In the Location constraints data grid, click Insert.
  3. A new row is added to the data grid.

  4. Click the Headings column and select the headings to which you want the constraint to apply.
  5. Click the Locations column and select the locations to which you want the constraint to apply.
  6. Click the Materials column and select the material classes to which you want the constraint to apply.
  7. Click the Unit column and select the unit in which the constraint is measured.
  8. Click the Value column and type the value for the constraint.
  9. The constraint value is a daily rate to which the headings and locations are constrained.

  10. Click the Date/event column and select the date or event on which the constraint is applied to the location.
  11. Note: Because there is no way to disable a location constraint, if there is a change to a location constraint at a future date, all location constraints must be redefined at that date.

  12. Click the Delay column and type a value for the number of days that must elapse, after the date or event selected, before the constraint is applied to the location.
